In Summer of this year Yorkshire Carousel LTD brings you The Eye On The Bay, the most talked about tourist attraction along the East Coast. This state of the art observation wheel will be the 1st of its type anywhere along the coast and is a major coup for the town of Bridlington. Located on the Bayside Leisure Complex,this towering wheel (40m) allows the public to sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery which Bridlington and the surrounding area has to offer. Yorkshire Carousel LTD is very much a home-grown company. Managing Director Allan Clayton was born and bred in Bridlington and is very proud to play host to the towns very 1st observation wheel. It was only 6 years ago when he was involved in a horrific road accident in which he suffered major injuries forcing him to be hospitalised for a long period of time. However he showed a steely determination and battled through his rehabilitation to make a fantastic recovery and was able to build his life again. He invested in property that in turn gave him more time and scope to look at new projects and in 2004 he purchased a beautiful Venetian carousel and mini wheel, which were to be situated on the Bayside Leisure Complex in Bridlington. After monitoring his investments closely he knew there was great potential and wanted to expand further. 2006 came and The Eye On the Bay was his! In December of 2006 Allan expanded his team and brought in Robert Atkinson as Marketing Director. Another Bridlington born youngster, Robert has spent a number of years working away from the town but like Allan was excited about the potential the Eye can bring to Bridlington and relished the chance to come back. It can offer something for everyone. Schools will have the chance to come and visit the leisure park where children can experience the journey the wheel will offer and learn about the history of the surrounding area. Local businesses will have the opportunity to promote their company through the Eye offering prime advertising space on the state of the art Gondolas. There is also the VIP Gondola that can play host to meetings and interviews. And of course the local people of Bridlington and visiting tourists will have the chance to see the dramatic views from The Eye On The Bay Yorkshire Carousel LTD is very focused on their new investment and feels this is a fantastic opportunity, not only for Yorkshire Carousel Ltd to develop, but also to help the town of Bridlington, as a whole, to move forward.
